The European Impression Tour
Touring Europe has always been our dream. This time we have decided to join a coach tour with Trafalgar Tour. The reasons are simple, first we need someone to guide us due to the possible language problem. Second, we heard a lot of horror story about the safety in Europe. Our tour started from London, it covers 6 countries in 15 days. Yes, it is tie but it is the best way to make full use of our time and money.

4th Oct 98 - London
We arrived London via Beijing. After checking into the hotel, we began to realized what it means by expensive in Europe, anyway we have decided not to think of the conversion rate for the next 15 days. The first place we visited of course is the Queen's London home and office - The Buckingham Palace. After dinner we roam around London under the rain, then back to the hotel and get ready for the next day European Impression Tour.

5th Oct 98 - Day 1 - London - Belgium
After a warm welcome from our Tour Director - Jon, we drive to Dover for the short sea crossing to France. Joining our touring coach, we continue to Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Belgium are famous for its' world best chocolate and sea food. We stop at the Exhibition Center and Atomium to take some photo. In the evening we took a stroll to the world most beautiful square, The Grand' Place. Then followed by shopping and of course taste the Belgium mussel.
The Manneken Pis, a statue of an impudent boy (with an apparently gargantuan bladder) steadily urinating. One story goes that a 17th century mayor promised to build a statue in the position that his lost son was found; another says it commemorates a boy who ingeniously defused a bomb. Locals have created many stories about this figure.
6th Oct 98 - Day 2 - Belgium - Heidelberg - Offenburg (Black Forest)
We move eastwards across Belgium to Germany. Where we cruised on the Rhine River. The tranquil scenery of castles and hillside vineyards drift by as we cruised upstream.
We saw the legendary Lorelei Rock before disembarking to rejoin our coach and continue to Heidelberg.
Heidelberg, where we viewed the castle overlooking the town of 'Student Prince' fame. Then on to the Black Forest and our hotel in Offenburg.

7th Oct 98 - Day 3 - Offenburg - Munich
This morning a scenic drive through the Black Forest that inspired the story of Hansel and Gretel.
Lake Constance
Passing through Donaueschingen and the source of the River Danube, brings us to Lake Constance. Then on to Munich where we see the Olympic Stadium, Hofbrauhaus, Ludwigstrasse and Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel. We were able to see the full dance routine at 5.00pm, which only play 3 times per day.
